
Meet Lee
Lee Morris has been active in the community all his adult life, serving on the boards of The Atlanta Urban League, The Atlanta Beltline, Common Cause Georgia, Literacy Action, PEDS, Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Buckhead Community Improvement District, Midtown Alliance, Midtown Improvement District, Southeastern Consortium for Minorities in Engineering, Atlanta Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), Georgia Regional Transportation Authority, Georgia Public Defenders Council, and Fulton County Board of Assessors, among many others. He is a Life Member of the Sierra Club.
Lee lived in 14 towns and cities in his first 14 years before graduating from the public schools in Prince George's County, Maryland. He graduated from Duke University in 3 years and practiced as a CPA before studying law at Emory University, where he was Managing Editor of the law review.

Lee survived childhood polio and surgeries as a teen, later to play rugby in law school and thereafter. He left the practice of law and became a business partner in an architecture/engineering firm from which he retired. Lee was married for many years to the late Gilda Walker Morris, who ran the Peachtree Presbyterian Church gym for several years.
He has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. He and his wife, the Honorable Marilyn Morgan, United States Bankruptcy Judge (Ret.), reside in Buckhead. Lee has been active for 48 years in his church, St Dunstan‘s Episcopal, where he is treasurer and where he and Marilyn sing in the choir.
