Integrity Isn't a Campaign Promise. It's a Track Record.

Lee Morris changed his party affiliation.

He has never voted for Donald Trump, never supported him, and finds MAGA to be a cancer on American democracy.

His values have remained consistent for decades. He has always voted for people, not party labels.

Lee's record includes deep involvement with Democratic causes and institutions: serving as a volunteer at the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta, supporting Planned Parenthood and serving on the Board of the Urban League and the Atlanta Chapter of the National Organization for Women.

Lee Morris has always been Pro-Choice for reproductive rights, voting rights, and equal opportunity, which is why he left the Republicans four years ago.

Lee Morris has never believed or stated that the 2020 election was stolen. He did not vote for or support Trump.

‍In fact, Lee was the deciding vote that appointed Democrat Cathy Woolard and Democrat Alex Wan to chair the Fulton Elections Board.

His opponents rely on two Commission votes from 2021, both misrepresented.

Agenda Item 21-0222 (April 14, 2021): Should Fulton County fund litigation against Senate Bill 202? Lee voted "no" because multiple entities were already suing the State on this. He did not believe Fulton County taxpayers should duplicate those costs.

Agenda Item 21-0672 (September 1, 2021): This was an advisory resolution urging Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. The item was introduced late and Lee had not had the opportunity to fully review it. He requested more time to review it but that request was denied. In the interest of proceeding with county business, he voted "no" under time pressure and should have abstained, though he supports the Act as federal law.

Neither vote had anything to do with supporting election fraud claims, undermining the 2020 election, or enabling partisan control of elections.

In fact, the sponsor of these resolutions, Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, has endorsed Lee Morris in this race, further underscoring the distortion of these attacks.

Lee's campaign has received many contributions from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike, primarily from residents of District 3.

He does not, and has never, screened supporters based on their political affiliation. Claims about "MAGA support" are misleading.

A staff member attended a community meeting as part of routine outreach to all citizens, and occasional modest contributions have been made to acquaintances without regard to their national political positions.

For years, Lee Morris's work has been guided by a simple principle: effective, accountable local government that serves people, not politics.

As the founder of Georgia, James Oglethorpe, said: "Not for self, but for others." That principle continues to guide his service and always will.
